PCCP has the benefit of a long and successful history as a pressure pipe material for the transfer and distribution of potable, raw water and sewage. PCCP is also extensively used for Power Plant intakes, outfalls and closed loop cooling systems. PCCP offers unrivalled durability, longevity, virtually zero maintenance, rapid construction, and flexibility in terms of future connections. All the company's products use precision gasketed steel joint rings to ensure leak free operation.
Pipes are normally produced in 7.5m, 6.1m or 4.9m lengths for larger diameters. Short pipe lengths can also be manufactured. ‘Short pipe’ sections are used to meet a critical point of intersection, valve, or outlet connection that cannot be accomplished by other means.
Lined Cylinder Pipe (LCP) manufactured in accordance with AWWA C301.
LCP has a concrete core cast inside a steel cylinder that serves as a watertight membrane. The cured concrete core is subsequently circumferentially wrapped with a high tensile prestressing wire and externally coated with a cement-rich mortar. Sizes 16” to 48” (400mm to 1200mm) - Pressure 6 to 24 bar.
Embedded Cylinder Pipe (ECP) manufactured in accordance with AWWA C301. ECP has a steel cylinder fully encased in a vertically cast concrete core which is subsequently circumferentially wrapped with a high tensile prestressing wire and externally coated with a cement-rich mortar. Sizes 36” to 160” (900mm to 400mm) - Pressure 6 to 26 bar.
Reinforced Concrete Cylinder Pipe (RCCP) manufactured in accordance with AWWA C300.RCCP is a vertically cast product similar to ECP but it utilises cage reinforcement cast into the core rather than prestressing wire for strength. This pipe is often used where direct jacking or other special installations preclude the use of PCCP.
Pretensioned Concrete Cylinder Pipe (PtCCP) manufactured in accordance with AWWA C303.This pipe is similar in construction to LCP except that the high tensile prestressing wire is replaced by a mild steel bar wrapped onto a thicker cylinder. The internal concrete core thickness is also reduced making the pipe lighter than the equivalent LCP. The pipe is externally coated with a cement-rich mortar. Sizes 400mm to 1200mm - Pressure 6 to 24 bar.
Joints
All standard joints allow an element of deflection which can be enhanced by the use of deep joints and bevelled pipe. The range includes a wide variety of joint types including thrust restraint joints, testable joints and electrically bonded joints.
Fittings
All fittings are manufactured in steel with an internal and external mortar coating, using standard joint rings enabling easy installation into the pipeline. Fitting types include Outlets, Elbows, Tees, Wyes, Bulkheads, Closures, Adaptors etc.
Custom fittings, such as manifolds, can be produced. A wide range of adaptors are available offering full connectablity to other pipe types, victualic couplings, flanges, etc.
